A story in the October 24 edition of the Orange County Register has exposed major problems with public access to records and information from many of California's cities, districts, and authorities.  The Register's audit found that 32% of local school districts denied access to the public of their records and 57% delayed providing the information for up to 10 days (which is within the law).


In contrast to the school districts, 54% of the cities were in compliance with the California Public Records Act.  Yet, this leaves 46% of our cities needing to improve their public records programs.


To meet the needs of California's local agencies, Cynrede is offering a series of programs to quickly bring local agencies into compliance.  These programs include:
